Keynote by Dr. Alex Murray at HSG Alumni Blockchain Event

Dr. Alex Murray, senior researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship, will give a keynote at the upcoming event "The critical role of HSG and ETH for a prospering 'Crypto Nation'".

On September 11, 2018 Dr. Murray, senior researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship, will give a keynote at the event The critical role of HSG and ETH for a prospering “Crypto Nation”, organized by HSG Alumi and supported by ETH Alumni.

Alex will briefly review the research activities on Blockchain at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at ETH as well as highlight key questions that are currently guiding his research, notably:

  1. Within organizations, what agency costs will permissioned blockchains be able to monitor effectively AND efficiently?
  2. The impact of blockchains in centralized organizations with asset control (i.e., greater efficiency for centralized org., more centralization of capital); versus platforms without asset control (i.e., greater power for asset holders, more decentralization of capital, disruptive)
  3. Entrepreneurship in DAOs. What does decentralized and collaborative opportunities, resource mobilization, and strategy making look like?
