Great Take-off for the Lean Start-up Academy Course!

Great take-off for the first of our two "do-it" courses this spring term! Last thursday, the Swisscom Pirates Hub welcomed 30 motivated and eager students for an inspiring ideation session. Over the spring term these ideas will be further developed and rigorously market-tested.

Our external lecturers external pageDavid Hengartner and external pageReto Wenger (both Swisscom Pirates Hub) have hosted 30 of our most motivated and entrepreneurial students for the first session of the first edition of the Lean Start-up Academy.

Great ideas were pitched, energetic teams formed, and rumors have it that the Pirates Hub ran out of snacks and beer by the end of the eventful night :-)

The Lean Start-up Academy is one of the skills-focused courses offered by MTEC's Chair of Entrepreneurship. The course is organized jointly with lean start-up experts from Swisscom's Pirates Hub, led by David Hengartner. David and his team are also so kind to host the course at Pirates Hub and other co-woking locations across Zurich's entrepreneurial ecosystem, which allows students to experience the atmosphere and work pressure of a real-life entrepreneurial environment.

Over the course of spring 2018, 7 student teams will work on creating new entrepreneurial businesses -- from idea, through concept prototype, customer validation up to raising capital. The best teams may even gain a summer internship with Swisscom's entrepreneurial programs.

The Chair of Entrepreneurship is dedicated to provide innovative and relevant teaching to ETH's entrepreneurial students and we wish the 7 teams lots of success for their entrepreneurial journey this spring!
