Wouter Beernaert

Originally from Belgium, Wouter earned a master's degree in Business Engineering with a focus on Finance at Ghent University in 2022.

Prior to joining ETH as a PhD student, he wrote his thesis at the Chair of Entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial search and opportunity discovery in the nascent Swiss drone industry. In addition, Wouter was a teaching assistant for 2 courses at ETH during the course of his final MSc year.

Research Interests

Industry emergence, entrepreneurial search and opportunity discovery, growth and scale, and strategy.
